General Job Description
The role of the Project Manager is to plan and execute our software implementation projects within budget and according to challenging deadlines. This includes coordinating efforts such that internal and external project team members deliver projects according to plan and/or managing change effectively. The Project Manager oversees quality control and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage project activities from beginning to end
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project stakeholders
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and associated communications documents
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Plan, track and schedule project timelines and milestones by communicating them through the project lifecycle
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, anticipate potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Enable continuous improvement by identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements and recommending better ways to accomplish goals
- Be willing to travel to client sites and work at client sites extensively (up to 4 days/week for part of the project lifecycle)
Position Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen/Green Card holder
- BA/BS or Masters degree
- 5-6 years direct work experience in a project management capacity with increasing levels or responsbilitiy.
- Experience in management consulting or software applications, or the equivalent, is vital
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project
- Healthcare Compliance industry experience a plus
- Understanding of and experience with web technology a big plus
- Must be located full time within the United States, ideally in the Princeton, NJ, and surrounding area as you will be required to work out of the office when not onsite at a client location

- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Persuasive, encouraging, motivating and flexible
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other groups
- Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as facilitation skills and thinking on your feet. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with client users, team members and management
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
